What quantity of water should you take each day to remain healthy?

The quantity of water in the body is as important as its quality. As we all know, water is very important in the body. But the question is: how much water do i need to drink each day?
The institute of Medicine of the United States recommends that for the average adult, 8-ounce glass cup be taken everyday. This would be about 2 litres of water everyday. This can be obtained by drinking 1 big bottle of  EVA water plus another small size. But if you consume enough alkaline producing fruits like cucumber and tomatoes, you may need the 150cl(Big) bottle of EVA size to hydrate properly.
Another good estimate is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number into two. That gives you the number of ounce of water per day that you need to drink.  For instance, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80- ounce of water per day. American Institute of Medicine estimates that twenty percent of your body water need will come from the food you eat
However, this recommendation holds for adults under normal circumstances. One needs to take more water under extreme circumstances like the ones stated below:
1.After exercise
2. Under alcoholic conditions
3. Illness or health
4.Hot or humid conditions
5. Long distance travellers
6.When doing a strenuous work

If you take care to drink the right amount of water each day, you will certainly not have problems like dry mouth, dry eyes and bad sight, memory loss, chronic pains, thickened saliva, ect.
